Frequently asked questions
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
How do my members receive their card?
By email, automatically: the message contains the “Add to Apple Wallet” and “Add to Google Wallet” buttons. Each card also has a personal link you can copy and send by WhatsApp or SMS.
What happens when a card expires?
The card shows its expiry date. When you renew it in MPass, it updates itself in the member’s Wallet. At the door, an expired card is rejected by the scanner.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. Data hosted in Europe, one-click export and deletion of a member, data processing agreement provided. You remain the controller of your members’ data; MPass processes it on your behalf.
Does it work for an English-speaking club in Belgium?
Yes: each card is shown in the language of the member’s phone (EN, FR, NL, DE), so English-speaking, French-speaking and Dutch-speaking members all get their card in their own language. The admin interface is available in English, French, Dutch and German.
