Business network membership card for freelancers and business owners
At a networking breakfast, the person on the door has thirty seconds to work out who is a member, who is Premium and who came as a guest. The business network membership card from MPass puts that answer on each member’s phone, with the plan and the end date, and a scan settles it before the coffee is poured.

Member or Premium: the card says which
The card is in your network’s colours and shows the member’s name, number and plan, for example Member at €150 or Premium at €390 a year. Validity is written on it, so a membership that ran out in June does not quietly continue into the autumn programme. Upgrade someone to Premium after their transfer arrives and the card in their Wallet changes without a new email. At events, the host scans the QR code with a phone and sees straight away whether the card is current.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Member | €150 |
| Premium | €390 |
Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Freelancers · Executives · Afterworks · Mentoring.
Three real situations
The door at the networking breakfast
Members show their card, the host scans it and hands over the name badge. Non-members come with the ticket you issued for that morning, so both groups pass the same desk without a printed list.
Evenings reserved for Premium members
When an evening is for Premium only, the plan written on the card does the sorting. The person at the entrance does not need to know the membership file by heart, and nobody has to be questioned in front of the others.
Renewals spread across the year
Memberships that start on different dates are tedious to follow. On the Essential plan and above, each member receives a reminder a month before their own card ends, whichever month they joined.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Entrepreneurs & networking” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: a network of 110 freelancers and directors
Take a regional network with 90 standard members and 20 Premium members. The coordinator keeps the member list in a spreadsheet and, on the Pro plan at €49 excl. VAT per month, imports it in one go; on Essential at €19 she would add members through the sign-up link instead. Fees are invoiced by the network as before. Once paid, each card is activated and reaches the member by email. For the monthly breakfast of 40 people, she creates tickets for guests and scans everyone at the door.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Networking breakfast” or “Members’ evening”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Is the card a digital business card?
Not really. It is proof of membership: network name, member name, plan, number, validity and a QR code that you scan. It does not hold a contact profile to swap with other members, so keep your usual way of exchanging details at the table.
Can members get proof of membership for their accounts?
On the Essential plan and above, you can create a membership certificate from the member’s record, stating the membership and the fee. Whether a fee is deductible is a question for the member’s accountant, and the invoice remains your own document, since MPass does no invoicing or accounting.
How do we handle someone who joins mid-year?
Add them when they join and give the card the end date your rules call for, a full year from joining or the end of your network’s year. The card shows that date, and the reminder goes out a month before it.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
