At a golf and country club, the same family may count a full member, a spouse who plays tennis and two juniors, and the starter or the clubhouse desk cannot know all of them. A country club membership card on each person’s phone shows their category and this year’s validity, wherever on the estate they are asked.

The card carries the club’s crest and colours, the holder’s name and member number, the category and the end of the subscription year. Categories and fees are yours, for example Member at €1,800, Family at €3,200 and Youth at €450. Each person in a family is added and receives a personal card on their own phone. When subscriptions are renewed in January, the new date appears on every renewed card and the others simply expire. Staff check a card by scanning the QR code with a phone.

Three real situations
At the starter’s hut
Before the first tee, the starter can ask to see the card. A scan shows a current member in the right category; a visitor shows the proof of their green fee, which the club handles outside MPass.
A guest at a club event
Members often bring guests. For a members’ competition or a club evening, the guest receives a ticket with a QR code through the link the member forwards, so the desk has a name for everyone.
The gala dinner
For the annual dinner, registrations go through a ticket link sent to members. On the night, the clubhouse manager scans the tickets at the door and keeps the seating plan on paper as usual.

Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.

The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: a country club with 420 members
Imagine a club counting 260 individual members, 40 families making 120 cards, and 40 juniors: 420 cards in all. The secretariat already has the member list in a spreadsheet, so it chooses the Pro plan at €49 excl. VAT per month and imports the file in one go. Subscriptions are invoiced by the club and paid by transfer. As payments are recorded, cards are activated and sent by email. The renewal reminder goes out automatically a month before the year ends.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Members’ competition” or “Gala dinner”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.

Frequently asked questions
Does the card book tee times or courts?
No. MPass does not handle bookings of tee times, courts or lessons, and it is not connected to any federation system. Keep your booking tool for that. The card answers one question: is this person a current member, and in which category.
How does a family membership work?
Create a Family category and add each member of the household under it. Everyone gets a personal card with their own name on their own phone, including juniors who have one. All the cards show the Family category, and each counts as one active card.
Can members charge the restaurant to their card?
No. The card is not a payment card or a house account. It shows identity and membership, which is useful when the restaurant gives members a different rate, but the bill is paid through your own till as before.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
