Service club membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
A service club changes its president and secretary every year, and with them the notebook that says who is a member, who is honorary and who has settled their dues. A service club membership card in the Wallet keeps that information on each member’s phone, and is scanned on arrival at the statutory meeting.

What members and honorary members carry
The card shows your club’s name and emblem, the member’s name and number, the category and the end date, usually the end of your club year. Categories are for you to set, for example Member at €300 and Honorary member at €0. At the handover to a new committee, the cards stay as they are in members’ phones; only a renewal or a change of category alters them, and that happens by itself. At a meeting, the secretary scans the QR code with a phone to see that the card is valid.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Member | €300 |
| Honorary member | Free |
Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Foundation · Round table · Charity projects.
Three real situations
The statutory meeting at the hotel
Members arrive for the meal and show their card on the way in. A visiting member from another club comes with a ticket you sent for that evening. The secretary still writes the minutes; the card only settles who is a current member.
Filling tables for the charity evening
Each member takes responsibility for a few tables. You share the ticket link, guests register, and each one receives a QR code. Money for the seats goes to the club’s account as it always has, and MPass takes no share of it.
Handover to the next committee
The incoming secretary takes over a list that is already up to date: who is active, who is honorary, whose card ends when. No box of spare plastic cards changes hands along with the gavel.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Service club” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: a club of 34 members and a gala of 140 guests
Take a club with 30 active members and 4 honorary members. The secretary adds them in half an hour, and everyone receives the card by email. That is 34 cards, well within the Free plan. For the charity evening, the club expects 140 guests: the ticket link goes to members, who pass it on to their tables, and payments reach the club by transfer. With cards and tickets together above 50, the club takes Essential at €19 excl. VAT per month around the gala.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Statutory meeting” or “Charity evening”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Does MPass take a share of the charity ticket money?
No. MPass does not collect any money and takes no commission, on dues or on tickets. Guests pay your club or your foundation directly, by transfer or the tool you already use, and MPass only produces the ticket and the QR code scanned at the entrance.
Can honorary members have a card without paying dues?
Yes. A category can be set at €0, as in the example of an Honorary member. The amount shown is for information only. Their card looks the same as the others and states their category, which is a simple way to mark the honour.
Can the card record presence at meetings?
No. MPass does not keep an attendance record or count how many meetings a member came to. If your rules include an attendance requirement, the secretary keeps that register as before. The scan only tells you whether a card is valid.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
