Private members’ club membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
A private club lives on discretion: no queue, no list on a lectern, no plastic card left behind in a coat. A private members’ club membership card in the Wallet lets the person at reception confirm a membership with a quick scan, and shows the member’s tier and number without a word being said.
No sign-up or credit card · your test card in 1 minute
Numbered, in your colours, always on the member
The card is styled with your emblem and your colours, black and gold if that is your house style. It shows the member’s name, their number, the tier and the date the membership runs to. Tiers are yours to name, for example Founder at €600 and Member at €1,500 a year. A renewal or a change of tier appears on the phone without a new card being issued. At the door, reception scans the QR code with a phone; a membership that has ended is shown as such, so nobody has to consult a file.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Founder | €600 |
| Member | €1,500 |
Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: 24/7 lounge · Concierge · Private events.
Three real situations
Arriving at the lounge
The member opens the Wallet as they would for a boarding pass. Reception scans the code and greets them by name. For a speakeasy with an unmarked door, that is the whole entry procedure.
The members’ dinner
For a dinner with a set number of covers, each member receives a ticket for the evening, and so does any guest you agree to. The maître d’ scans tickets as people arrive and keeps the table plan in his own book.
A private tasting in the cellar
Twelve seats, one sommelier. You send the ticket link only to the members you choose, and the QR code at the cellar door confirms that the person in front of you is one of the twelve.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Private club & lounge” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: a lounge with 140 members
Take a private lounge with 40 founding members and 100 members who joined later. The manager enters each member personally, since admission is by co-option, and the card is sent by email with a short note. Fees are invoiced by the club and paid by transfer; the card is activated afterwards. With 140 cards, the Essential plan at €19 excl. VAT per month covers the club, including the reminder a month before each membership ends.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Members’ dinner” or “Private tasting”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Are the cards numbered?
Yes. Each card carries a member number alongside the name and the tier, and reception sees it when the card is shown or scanned. For a club where a number is part of the prestige, it is displayed on the card itself, not hidden in a file.
How are guests and plus-ones handled?
A membership card is personal. For a guest, create a ticket for the evening concerned and share its link with the member, who forwards it. The guest arrives with their own QR code. Your house rules on how many guests a member may bring remain yours to apply.
Does the card open the door or work with a turnstile?
No. MPass does not control locks, turnstiles or gates, and there is no round-the-clock access system behind it. Someone at the door scans the card with a phone. For unattended access at night, keep your existing key or code system.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
