The flea market exhibitor pass, in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
At six in the morning, vans line up at the end of the high street and the steward has to check each stallholder against a damp printed list by torchlight. With a flea market exhibitor pass in the Wallet, each stallholder shows a QR code through the window, the steward scans it and waves them towards their pitch.

What the exhibitor pass shows the steward
The pass shows the name of your market, the exhibitor’s name, a number and the category, for example Exhibitor at €15 or Professional exhibitor at €40. You share a registration link; stallholders fill it in themselves and receive the pass by email. The pitch fee is paid to you as usual, by transfer or in cash, and you then activate the pass. If someone changes category or you extend a pass to your next market, it updates on their phone. On the day, the steward scans the QR code with a phone.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Exhibitor | €15 |
| Professional exhibitor | €40 |
Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Flea markets · Christmas markets · Car boot sales.
Three real situations
Unloading before sunrise
Vehicles are allowed into the street only until a fixed hour. The steward at the barrier scans each pass, checks the name against the pitch plan you drew up, and the van moves on. Unregistered sellers are spotted before they unpack.
The organiser’s round mid-morning
When an organiser walks the stalls, a stallholder who cannot find a paper receipt shows the pass on their phone. Name, category and a valid date settle whether the pitch has been paid for.
A Christmas market over three weekends
Chalet holders come back every weekend. One pass valid for the whole period avoids issuing a new document each Saturday, and it is shown in the same way on the first day and the last.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Flea markets & markets” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: a flea market with 120 pitches
Take a neighbourhood committee organising a yearly flea market of 120 pitches, 100 for residents and 20 for professional sellers. Registration opens through a link in the local newsletter; exhibitors pay the committee by transfer, quoting their name. The treasurer activates each pass on receipt and assigns pitch numbers in her own plan, which she sends by email. With 120 passes, the committee takes Essential at €19 excl. VAT for the month of the market, then returns to the Free plan.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Big flea market” or “Christmas market”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing. By event type: all events.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Does the pass show the pitch number?
The pass identifies the exhibitor and their category. MPass does not draw a pitch plan or allocate places, so the simplest approach is to keep your plan and send each stallholder their pitch number in your confirmation message.
Can exhibitors reserve and pay for a pitch through MPass?
They can register through the link, but not pay: MPass takes no payments and no commission. The pitch fee goes straight to your committee by the means you choose, and you activate the pass afterwards. That also lets you turn down a registration if the market is full.
Do visitors need a ticket too?
For a free street market, no: only stallholders need a pass. If you charge entry to an indoor market or a collectors’ fair, you can create visitor tickets for the event, share the link and scan them at the door.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
