You create the evening as an event, with its name and venue, and share the link with your guests or with the hosts of each table. Each person who registers receives a ticket in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, in your colours, with their name and a QR code. Guest categories can be set, for example Guest at €0 or Table at €0, the price shown being indicative only. Contributions for seats or tables are paid to your organisation directly. At the entrance, hostesses scan the tickets with a phone.

Three real situations
Arrival at the château gates
Cars pull up, guests cross the courtyard, and the hostess scans each invitation at the foot of the stairs. She then reads the table from your seating plan and the guest moves on to the reception, glass in hand.
Companies that take a whole table
A sponsor reserves a table of ten and does not yet know who will come. Send the link to the contact person, who forwards it to their guests. Each registers under their own name, which gives you ten names instead of one.
The partners’ reception before dinner
A separate reception for partners is a separate event with its own link. Only those invited receive it, and the QR code at the door of the reception room keeps it to that group.

Example: a charity dinner for 130 guests
Imagine a foundation hosting a charity dinner of 13 tables of ten. The organiser creates the event and sends the link to each table host; guests register themselves over the following weeks. Seats are paid to the foundation by transfer, and the seating plan is drawn up in a spreadsheet from the names registered. On the evening, two hostesses share one phone to scan arrivals. With 130 tickets in the month, the Essential plan at €19 excl. VAT is enough, and no commission is taken.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Gala dinner” or “Partners’ reception”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Does the invitation show the table number?
MPass does not manage a seating plan. The ticket identifies the guest and is scanned at the entrance; the table is then read from your own plan, which tends to change until the last day anyway. A board in the hall or a list at the desk does the rest.
How do we handle a guest’s plus-one?
Ask the guest to forward the link to the person accompanying them, so that they register under their own name and receive their own invitation. You then have the real names for place cards, and each person has a QR code to show.
Can donations be made through the ticket?
No. MPass does not collect money, whether for seats, tables or donations, and takes no commission. Pledges and payments on the night go through your own means: transfer, card terminal or pledge cards on the tables.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
