Sports event tickets for races, tournaments and walks, in the Wallet

On race morning, the bib collection table has an hour to deal with every runner, including those who registered last night and those who swear they did. With sports event tickets in the Wallet, each participant shows a QR code, the volunteer scans it and hands over the bib without leafing through pages of names.

The entry ticket on the participant’s phone

You set up the race, the tournament or the walk as an event and share its registration link on your poster and social pages. Each entrant receives a ticket with a QR code in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, showing the event and their name. Entry can be free, for example Participant at €0, or paid to your club directly, as MPass takes no money. If you correct an entry, the ticket follows on the phone. At the registration table, volunteers scan with a phone and hand over the bib or the route card.

Three real situations

Bib collection before a 10 km

Runners arrive in waves from eight o’clock. Each shows the ticket, a volunteer scans it and gives out the bib and pins. Timing and start waves are handled by your timekeeper, not by MPass.

Team check-in at a six-a-side tournament

Captains bring their players to the table at the municipal pitches. Scanning each ticket confirms who is registered before the first whistle, and before any dispute about a player nobody has seen before.

Start of an organised walk

Walkers choose their distance and leave when they like. A scan at the start table shows they are registered, and they receive the route card. Free entries and paid entries pass through the same table.

How it works: 3 steps

Open the “Sports events” template

It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.

Add your members

One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.

Scan with your phone

The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.

Create my race entry pass

Example: a 10 km road race with 140 runners

Take a running club organising its yearly 10 km with 140 entries. The link is published a month before; runners register, pay the €8 entry to the club by transfer, and the secretary keeps track of payments in her own sheet. On race morning, two volunteers take turns at the table with the club’s phone, scanning tickets and handing out bibs. With 140 tickets in the month of the race, Essential at €19 excl. VAT is enough, and the club returns to the Free plan the month after.

Tickets for your events too

The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Race · 10 km” or “Six-a-side tournament”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.

What it costs

Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Wallet ticket the race bib itself?

No. The ticket proves the registration and is scanned when the bib is collected. Runners still wear a physical bib for the timekeeper and the marshals. MPass does not time races, assign start waves or publish results.

Can a captain register a whole team?

Each ticket is issued to one person. The simplest way is to send the registration link to the captain, who forwards it to the players so that each registers under their own name. You then group them by team in your own tournament table.

What about people who register on the day?

They can fill in the same link on their phone at the table and receive their ticket by email, or you can simply add them to your paper list. Entry money on the day is taken by your volunteers in cash, as before.

Does MPass collect membership fees?

No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.

Do we need to install an app?

No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
