By October nobody at the gate remembers who has paid their subs, and the laminated cards handed out in August are at the bottom of a kit bag. A football club membership card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet shows each player’s plan and season on their phone, and you check it with a scan.

Each player, parent or supporter gets a card in the club colours with their name, member number, plan (for example Senior, Youth U19 or Supporter) and the date the season ends. You send it by email or by link, and there is nothing to install. When a youth player moves up to the seniors or the season is extended, you change it once in MPass and the card updates on the phone. At the gate or the club bar, a committee member scans the QR code with their own phone and sees whether the card is valid.

Three real situations
Home match at the gate
Supporters with a card walk in on a scan; visitors show the match ticket you issued through the same tool. The volunteer at the gate needs one phone and no list on a clipboard.
Subs deadline in September
The treasurer ticks off the bank transfers and activates the cards of those who have paid. Coaches no longer ask in the changing room who is up to date: a card that is not active says it for them.
Member price at the club shop
If members get a discount on scarves and training tops, the card is the proof. A look at the screen, or a scan when in doubt, replaces the question nobody likes asking a parent on the touchline.

Open the “Football” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: a village club with 140 members
Take a club with two senior teams, six youth teams and about thirty supporters: 140 cards in all. The secretary shares the membership link in the team groups, parents fill in their child’s details, and fees (say €180 for seniors, €140 for under-19s and €30 for supporters) are paid by bank transfer as before. Once a payment arrives, the card is activated. With 140 cards the club is on Essential at €19 excl. VAT a month, which also sends the renewal reminder before next season.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Home match” or “Club dinner”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Does the card replace player registration with the federation?
No. Registration with your federation stays exactly as it is, and MPass has no link with any federation. The card is your club’s own: it shows who is a paid-up member this season and serves at the gate, the bar and the club shop.
Can a parent hold the card of a child who has no phone?
Yes. The card is sent by email or by link, so a parent can add their child’s card to their own Wallet. One phone can hold several cards, which suits a family with three children in three age groups.
Can we issue tickets for home matches and the club dinner?
Yes. You create the event, share the link, and each person receives a ticket with a QR code that you scan at the entrance. MPass takes no money and no commission: people pay the club at the gate, by transfer or however you usually do it.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
