Volleyball club membership card in the Wallet, for indoor and beach
A volleyball club runs two seasons with two sets of people: the indoor teams from September to April, then the beach players who appear in May and are gone by September. A volleyball club membership card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet shows who belongs to which season, and it changes on the phone when a member adds the beach.

One card, two seasons: what it displays
The card shows the member’s name and number, their plan and the date it runs to. Typical plans would be Senior, Youth and a separate Beach plan for the summer, each with its own end date. A senior who also signs up for the beach courts does not get a second card: you update the plan or the date and the card in their Wallet changes. You send cards by email or link, and you check them by scanning the QR code with your own phone, at the hall or at the edge of the sand.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Senior | €170 |
| Youth | €130 |
| Beach | €60 |
Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Indoor & beach volleyball · Regional tournaments.
Three real situations
May: the beach courts open
Summer players arrive who have never set foot in the hall. They fill in the membership link, pay the beach fee to the club, and their card runs until the end of August. Indoor members who add the beach see their card updated.
A regional tournament at home
Teams come from other clubs and the hall fills up. You issue tickets for the tournament through a link, scan them at the entrance, and tell your own members from visitors by scanning their cards.
An evening on the sand
The beach court has no office and no list pinned to a wall. Whoever holds the key scans a card when a face is unfamiliar and sees whether the beach plan is paid for this summer.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Volleyball” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: 120 indoor members and 35 beach players
Say a club has 120 indoor members across senior and youth teams, and 35 people who only play beach in summer. Example fees: €170 for seniors, €130 for youth, €60 for the beach plan, all paid by transfer. In May the committee shares the membership link on the club’s social pages; beach players sign up themselves and the treasurer activates their cards once paid. With 155 cards in summer, Essential at €19 excl. VAT a month covers the club, reminders included.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Home match” or “Beach tournament”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
A member plays indoor and beach. One card or two?
One. A member has a single card with a single plan and end date. You can name a combined plan, for example Senior + Beach, or simply extend the date of the existing card through the summer. Either way the card in the Wallet updates without the member doing anything.
Beach-only cards end in August. Do those players get a reminder?
On Essential and Pro, a renewal reminder is sent automatically a month before a card ends, and that applies to summer cards too. A beach player whose card ends on 31 August hears from the club at the end of July, which is a reasonable moment to mention the indoor season.
Can visiting teams register for our beach tournament through MPass?
You can issue tickets for the tournament: share the link, each team or player gets a ticket with a QR code, and you scan it on arrival. Entry fees are paid to the club directly, since MPass takes no payments. Draws, pools and schedules are not part of it.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
