Swimming club membership card in the Wallet: the swimmer card at the pool entrance

Your club hires lanes in a pool it does not own, and at six o’clock the desk has to tell your swimmers from the public queue. With a swimming club membership card in the Wallet, each swimmer shows their plan and validity on the phone before the changing rooms, and a coach scans it if needed.

What the swimmer card shows at the pool

The swimmer card carries the club’s name and colours, the swimmer’s name and number, the plan and the end date. Plans might be Swimmer, Aqua aerobics and Baby swimming, each with its own fee. It is sent by email or link and kept in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet; for a baby or a young child, the card lives on a parent’s phone. Renew a swimmer and the card updates without being resent. The check is a scan of the QR code with your own phone at the entrance. MPass does not open turnstiles.

Example planExample amount
Swimmer€160
Aqua aerobics€120
Baby swimming€90

Example plans and amounts from the “Swimmer card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: 25 m pool · Aqua aerobics · Baby swimming.

Three real situations

Club hours at the pool entrance

During your lane slots, only club members should pass the desk. A coach or parent volunteer stands at the entrance for ten minutes and scans cards, before phones go into lockers.

Baby swimming on Saturday morning

The parent shows the baby’s card along with the towel and the nappy bag. The instructor sees that the term is paid and which plan the family is on, without a paper list going soggy on the bench.

Gala day

Spectators in the gallery and swimmers from invited clubs receive tickets through a link. You scan them at the door; the gallery has a fixed number of seats, so you set the number of tickets to match.

How it works: 3 steps

Open the “Swimming” template

It is already set up for this activity: “Swimmer card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.

Add your members

One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.

Scan with your phone

The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.

Create my swimmer card

Example: 230 members across three sections

Take a club with 140 swimmers in the training groups, 60 people in aqua aerobics and 30 families in baby swimming. Example fees: €160, €120 and €90 for the season, paid by transfer. In August the secretary sends the membership link to each section; families fill it in and cards are activated once paid. With 230 cards the club uses Essential at €19 excl. VAT a month, and parents who ask for a certificate for their health insurer get one from the member record.

Tickets for your events too

The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Swimming gala” or “Autumn half-term camp”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.

What it costs

Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.

Frequently asked questions

Our pool has turnstiles. Can the card open them?

No. MPass does not connect to turnstiles, gates or the pool’s own ticketing. The card is checked by a person, with a phone, at the point where your club members separate from the public. If the pool issues its own access badges, those stay as they are.

Phones are not allowed at the poolside. When do we check?

At the entrance, before the changing rooms. The card is shown or scanned once on the way in, then the phone goes into the locker. Coaches on the pool deck do not need it again during the session.

Baby swimming runs by term. Can a card last ten weeks?

Yes. Each card has its own end date, so a term card can stop after ten weeks while a competitive swimmer’s card runs for the whole season. If the family signs up for the next term, you extend the date and the card updates on the parent’s phone.

Does MPass collect membership fees?

No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.

Do we need to install an app?

No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
