Martial arts club membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, for your dojo
In a dojo, the teacher wants to know before the bow that everyone on the mat has joined for the year, and parents want one fee for three children rather than three forms. A martial arts club membership card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet shows each member’s plan and season, and you scan it at the dojo door.

What the dojo’s card displays
The card shows the club’s emblem and colours, the member’s name and number, the plan and the validity date. Adult, Child and Family are example plans with example fees. You send the card by email or link; children’s cards usually sit in a parent’s Wallet. When the season is renewed or a child moves to the adult class, you change it in MPass and the card updates. A scan of the QR code with your phone shows whether it is valid. The card is the club’s own document: it does not replace a federation licence.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Adult | €200 |
| Child | €150 |
| Family | €380 |
Example plans and amounts from the “Licence card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Judo · Karate · Taekwondo · Belts.
Three real situations
The first weeks of September
Trial lessons end and the mat is crowded with beginners. Once a newcomer decides to stay, they fill in the membership link, pay the club, and the card confirms they have joined before the first throws or sparring.
Grading day
Candidates and their families fill the dojo. You issue tickets for the grading through a link, with a set number of places for spectators, and scan them at the door so the edge of the mat stays clear.
The demonstration gala
Once a year the club hires the sports hall and shows its work. Tickets go out by link, relatives pay the club in cash or by transfer, and a member scans each QR code at the entrance.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Martial arts” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Licence card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: a judo club with 90 members
Imagine a judo club with 35 adults and 55 children, several of them brothers and sisters. Example fees: €200 for an adult, €150 for a child, €380 for a family. The secretary hands out the membership link on a printed sheet after the trial lessons; parents fill it in at home and pay by transfer. She activates the cards on Friday evening before class. Ninety cards is above the free plan’s 50, so the club takes Essential at €19 excl. VAT a month and uses the certificates it includes.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Grading” or “Demonstration gala”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Does this licence card replace the federation licence?
No. The licence issued through your federation stays as it is, and MPass has no connection with any federation. The card is your club’s own membership card: it shows that the member has joined and paid for the season, which is what you check at the dojo door.
With a family fee, does the family get one card or several?
Each person on the mat gets their own card, all on the Family plan. That way a scan tells you which member is in front of you. Parents can keep the children’s cards in their own Wallet, so a seven-year-old does not need a phone.
Do people on a trial lesson need a card?
That is up to you. If beginners try a lesson or two for free, send them the membership link once they decide to stay: they enter their details, pay the club, and you activate the card. Nothing has to be created for people who never come back.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
