Motorcycle and car club membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet

A paper card does not last long in a jacket pocket or a glovebox, and on the morning of a ride-out nobody wants to check a list in a car park. The MPass motorcycle club membership card lives in the rider’s phone, shows the plan and the end date, and is scanned in a few seconds before the engines start.

A card for riders, drivers and passengers

On the card: your club badge and colours, the member’s name, a member number and the plan, for example Driver at €50 or Passenger at €25 a year. The expiry date is visible, which settles the question of who has renewed before the season’s first run. When you renew a member or a passenger becomes a driver, the card in their phone follows without anyone reprinting anything. To check it, a committee member scans the QR code with an ordinary phone: there is no reader to buy.

Example planExample amount
Driver€50
Passenger€25

Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Outings · Rallies · Classic cars · Mechanics.

Three real situations

Sign-on before the spring ride

At the meeting point, the road captain scans cards as bikes and cars arrive. Members with a valid card are waved through; guests show the ticket created for that ride. No clipboard, and no arguing about who paid last year.

At the partner garage counter

If your club has agreed a discount with a garage or a parts shop, the member shows the card on their phone. The mechanic sees the club name, the member’s name and a date that has not passed, which is all they need.

The annual meet in the hall car park

For the meet, you create tickets and share the link with other clubs and visitors. Each ticket has a QR code that you scan at the gate. Entry money, if you charge any, is collected by the club in its usual way.

How it works: 3 steps

Open the “Motorbike & car club” template

It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.

Add your members

One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.

Scan with your phone

The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.

Create my motorcycle club card

Example: a club of 85 members, bikes and classic cars

Picture a club with 60 drivers and 25 passengers, mixing bikers and owners of older cars. The secretary sends the sign-up link in the club newsletter; members enter their details themselves and pay their subscription by transfer. He then activates the cards over two evenings. With 85 cards, the club is above the free limit of 50, so it takes Essential at €19 excl. VAT per month, which also sends the renewal reminder a month before each card ends.

Tickets for your events too

The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Spring ride” or “Annual meet”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.

What it costs

Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.

Frequently asked questions

Can a passenger have their own card?

Yes. Create a Passenger plan next to the Driver plan, each with its own indicative price, for example €25 and €50. The passenger gets a separate card in their own phone, with its own number and end date, and shows it at sign-on like anyone else.

Does the card record the bike or the registration plate?

The card shows the member, the plan, the number and the validity. It is a membership card, not a vehicle logbook: keep registration details and insurance papers in your own records. If you want to tell classic cars from bikes, give them different plan names.

How do we handle guests on a ride-out?

Create a ticket for the ride and share its link. The guest fills in their name and receives a ticket with a QR code, which you scan at the start. MPass does not take any payment: if guests contribute to costs, they pay the club directly, and no commission is taken.

Does MPass collect membership fees?

No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.

Do we need to install an app?

No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
