Nature association membership card in the Wallet, with nothing to print
An association that defends a reserve or promotes zero waste is not keen on laminating three hundred cards a year, and its guided walks fill up faster than its inbox can follow. A nature association membership card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet needs no printing, and the same tool hands out the places on walks and workshops.
No sign-up or credit card · your test card in 1 minute
A membership card without plastic or paper
The card exists only on the phone. It shows the association’s name and logo, the member’s name and number, the plan and the year; Member and Family, for example. Members sign up through a link on your website or in your newsletter, pay the association as usual and receive the card by email. A renewal extends the same card; nothing is reissued or posted. On a walk or at a workshop, the guide scans the QR code with their own phone to check a card or a ticket.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Member | €15 |
| Family | €25 |
Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Community gardens · Zero waste · Nature.
Three real situations
A guided walk in the reserve
The warden allows twenty people on the path at dawn. You create the walk with twenty tickets, share the link, and the guide scans them at the reserve entrance. Latecomers without a ticket know the walk is full.
A zero-waste workshop
Making cleaning products for fifteen means buying ingredients for fifteen. Participants reserve by link, members show their card for the members’ rate, and the organiser knows the number three days before.
Renewals at the start of the year
On Essential, members whose card is about to end receive a reminder a month ahead. The treasurer watches the transfers come in and extends the cards, without a mailing to stuff into envelopes.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Environment & nature” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: 60 individual members and 40 families
Imagine a local nature group with 60 individual members and 40 family memberships. Example fees: €15 and €25 a year. The membership link is in the footer of every newsletter; people join when a walk catches their eye, and pay by transfer. The treasurer activates cards once a week. A hundred cards put the group on Essential at €19 excl. VAT a month. Each guided walk, with its 20 places, is issued as tickets from the same account.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Guided nature walk” or “Zero-waste workshop”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing. By event type: all events.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Our walks are limited to 20 people. Can MPass enforce that?
Yes, in the sense that you fix the number of tickets for each walk and the link stops issuing them once they are gone. MPass keeps no waiting list. If someone cancels, you decide yourselves how the place is passed on.
With a family membership, who gets the card?
The simplest is one card in the family’s name on the Family plan, sent to the address the family gave. If two adults want to come to different activities, add each of them on the same plan and they will each have a card.
Is a digital card really less wasteful than a printed one?
It avoids printing, laminating and posting, and it is not reissued each year. It does rely on a phone the member already owns. MPass makes no claim about a measured footprint; the practical gain is that you stop ordering cards.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
