Neighbourhood committee membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
A neighbourhood committee collects ten euros a household on doorsteps, keeps the list in a notebook, and finds at the street party that nobody knows who is entitled to the members’ drink. A neighbourhood committee membership card in the Wallet gives each member or family a card for the year, checked by a neighbour with a phone.

A card for each household in the neighbourhood
The card shows the committee’s name and logo, the member’s or family’s name, a number, the plan and the year. Member and Family are example plans. You can add neighbours yourself after a door-to-door round, or leave a flyer with the membership link in letterboxes so that they sign up on their own. The card arrives by email and is added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Next year, when the household renews, the same card is extended. At your events, a committee member scans the QR code with a phone.
| Example plan | Example amount |
|---|---|
| Member | €10 |
| Family | €20 |
Example plans and amounts from the “Membership card” template: you change the names, the amounts and the validity period. MPass does not collect these amounts. On the back of the card you write your own text, for example: Neighbourhood parties · Activities · Community spirit.
Three real situations
The neighbours’ party on the square
Members get a first drink or a meal at a reduced price. The volunteers at the bar, who moved in last spring and know five people, look at the card instead of asking the chairwoman each time.
The flea market on the High Street
Residents who want a pitch reserve one through a ticket link, with as many tickets as there are pitches. They pay the committee by transfer, and on the morning a steward scans tickets as cars unload.
The door-to-door round in January
Two committee members collect the yearly fee street by street. They note names on the spot, activate the cards that evening, and each household receives its card by email the same night.
How it works: 3 steps
Open the “Neighbourhood & festival committee” template
It is already set up for this activity: “Membership card” as the title, example plans, colours. Add your logo and your own text in ten minutes.
Add your members
One by one, through a sign-up link each person fills in, or by Excel import on the Pro plan. Everyone receives their card by email or by link.
Scan with your phone
The card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. To check it, you scan its QR code with your own phone, with no hardware to buy.
Example: 70 households and three events a year
Imagine a committee with 45 individual members and 25 families. Example fees: €10 and €20 a year, mostly paid in cash on the doorstep. The secretary enters the names herself, since many neighbours prefer it that way, and adds the link to the committee’s newsletter for the others. Seventy cards is above the free plan’s 50, so the committee takes Essential at €19 excl. VAT a month, which also sends the renewal reminder in the weeks before the January round.
Tickets for your events too
The same app creates tickets for your events, for example “Neighbours’ party” or “Neighbourhood flea market”. You share a link, each guest gets a ticket with a QR code in their Wallet, and you scan at the door. MPass does not collect the ticket price: you take it as you always have. See event ticketing.
What it costs
Free up to 50 active cards or tickets, with no time limit. The Essential plan (€19 a month excluding VAT, up to 300 cards) adds renewal reminders and certificates. The Pro plan (€49 a month excluding VAT) adds Excel import. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card.
Frequently asked questions
Can residents reserve a flea market pitch through MPass?
They can reserve a ticket that stands for a pitch, through a link you share, up to the number you set. Payment goes to the committee directly, because MPass takes no money. The allocation of pitch numbers along the street stays on your own plan.
A family has one membership. Is that one card or several?
One card on the Family plan is the simplest: it carries the family name and is shown by whichever parent comes to the event. If you prefer each adult to have their own, add them separately on the same plan.
Is our list of neighbours safe?
Names and email addresses are hosted in the European Union and handled in line with the GDPR. The list is seen by the committee members who use the account. It replaces the notebook and the spreadsheet that travel from one secretary’s house to the next.
Does MPass collect membership fees?
No. You enter the amounts for information only. Your members pay the club as usual (bank transfer, in person) and you activate their card in MPass. No payment goes through the app.
Do we need to install an app?
No. You manage everything from your browser, and your members install nothing: the card goes straight into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on their phone.
