Football match tickets for your club’s home games, derbies and cup ties

On derby day the gate is one volunteer, a roll of raffle tickets and a cash box, and by half-time nobody can say how many came in. With MPass your club issues football match tickets through a link, supporters show a QR code at the gate, and the takings stay entirely with the club.

The match ticket: fixture, kick-off and entry type

The ticket carries the fixture, the date, kick-off, the time the gates open, the ground and the club colours. Entry types are yours to set, for example Stand at €8, Standing at €5 and Under 12 free, each with a number of places. The link goes on the club website, in the supporters’ chat and to the visiting club’s secretary. A supporter gives a name and an email or mobile number, and the ticket lands in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. MPass does not take the gate money or check it: the ticket says entry is paid to the club, at the gate, as on any Sunday.

Three moments of your event

Monday: the fixture is confirmed

Once the kick-off time is fixed you create the match and share the link. Away supporters get it through their own club, which gives you an idea of the travelling numbers before you stock the clubhouse and brief the stewards.

Saturday: the stand fills first

Places are counted per entry type. When the 60 stand places are gone, the link offers standing only, and the committee knows it without counting stubs. Sponsors and the match officials’ guests can be added by hand with a name and an email.

Matchday: an hour before kick-off

Two volunteers scan at the gate with their own phones and take the entry money as usual. A code shown twice is refused. Season-ticket holders show their club membership card instead, which the same app can issue.

How it works: 3 steps

Create the event

Name, date, time, doors and venue. Choose the “Football match” type, your colours or an image, then your ticket categories with a displayed price and a number of places.

Share the link

By WhatsApp, email, social media or on your website. Each person enters their name, picks a category and gets a ticket with a QR code straight away, to add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Scan at the door

Your team scans tickets with their own phones, with no hardware to buy. A ticket that has already been scanned is refused.

Create tickets for my home game

Example: a derby with 145 tickets

Take an amateur club expecting a good crowd for the derby against the next village. It opens 60 Stand places shown at €8, 70 Standing at €5 and 15 free Under 12 tickets: 145 in all. Supporters pay at the gate in cash or on the club’s card reader, and the treasurer counts the box after the match, as always. Two phones scan at the single gate. Essential at €19 a month excluding VAT fits: 150 tickets a month and two scanning phones. The limit is monthly, so a club ticketing three home games in a month should add them up before choosing a plan.

Who collects the ticket price?

You do. MPass does not collect the ticket price and does not check payment: the ticket shows the amount “to be paid to the organiser”. Your guests pay you as they always have, on the door, in cash, by bank transfer or on your card reader. In return there is no commission and no per-ticket fee, and the money goes straight to you. If you need online payment at the time of booking, a ticketing platform with payments will suit you better.

What it costs

Frequently asked questions

Do season-ticket holders need a match ticket too?

Not necessarily. Many clubs let season-ticket holders and members in on their membership card, which MPass also creates for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and keep match tickets for everyone else. That reserves the monthly ticket count for away supporters and one-off spectators.

Can we keep away supporters in a separate section?

You can create an entry type named Away with its own number of places, so travelling supporters hold a ticket that says so. MPass does not assign seats or control turnstiles, though: guiding people to the right side of the ground is still done by your stewards.

What about people who turn up without a ticket?

They pay at the gate as before. If you want every spectator counted, a volunteer adds them on the spot with a name and a mobile number, or they open the link on their own phone while queuing. Otherwise, let walk-ups in on cash and keep tickets for those who booked.

Do guests need to install an app?

No. The ticket opens from a link and goes into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on the phone.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. The trial button shows you an MPass pass on your own phone in a minute, with no sign-up. To create an event and share its link, you then open a free account: 10 tickets a month are included.

And the membership card?

Organisations that run this kind of event often have members too. The same app creates their membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and an event can be reserved for members. All cards by activity.
