Match day tickets for basketball, volleyball, handball, hockey and rugby clubs
In a sports hall the entry table stands between the changing rooms and the stairs to the seats, and the hall holds only so many spectators. With MPass you issue match day tickets for each home game by link, spectators show a QR code at the table, and members come in on a free ticket of their own.

A spectator ticket for an evening in the hall
On the ticket: the two teams, the date, tip-off or first whistle, when the hall opens, the hall’s name and your club colours. You choose the entry types, for example Adult at €6, Youth at €3 and Club member free, and how many places each one has, which matters when the benches hold 200. Parents of the youth teams pass the link along; a spectator fills in a name and an email or mobile number and saves the ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. MPass takes no entry money and checks none: the ticket states that the price is paid to the club.
| Example category | Displayed price | Places |
|---|---|---|
| Adult | €6 | 180 |
| Youth | €3 | 80 |
| Club member | Free | 120 |
Example categories, prices and numbers of places: you change everything. The price is shown on the ticket for information; MPass does not collect it.
Three moments of your event
When the league calendar comes out
You know the home dates for the coming weeks. Create the next game with the same entry types and post the link in the team chats and on the club page. On Essential three events can be open at once, on Pro as many as you need.
Double-header Saturday
Women at 6 pm, men at 8.30 pm, one hall. Decide whether one ticket covers the evening or each game has its own event. With one ticket for the evening, spectators are scanned once on arrival and stay for both.
At the entry table
A volunteer scans while another takes the coins. The scan tells a valid ticket from one that has already been used, and the entry type on the ticket shows who owes €6, who owes €3 and who comes in free as a member.
How it works: 3 steps
Create the event
Name, date, time, doors and venue. Choose the “Match day” type, your colours or an image, then your ticket categories with a displayed price and a number of places.
Share the link
By WhatsApp, email, social media or on your website. Each person enters their name, picks a category and gets a ticket with a QR code straight away, to add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Scan at the door
Your team scans tickets with their own phones, with no hardware to buy. A ticket that has already been scanned is refused.
Example: two home games a month, 130 tickets each
Consider a volleyball club with two home evenings a month in a hall with 130 spectator places. For each one it opens 60 Adult tickets shown at €6, 20 Youth at €3 and 50 free Club member tickets. Spectators pay in cash at the entry table and the money goes into the club till. Two phones scan at the hall door. Two games make 260 tickets in the month, which is over the 150 of Essential, so the club takes Pro at €49 a month excluding VAT: 300 tickets a month and up to five scanning phones. Ticketing one big game only would fit Essential at €19 a month excluding VAT.
Who collects the ticket price?
You do. MPass does not collect the ticket price and does not check payment: the ticket shows the amount “to be paid to the organiser”. Your guests pay you as they always have, on the door, in cash, by bank transfer or on your card reader. In return there is no commission and no per-ticket fee, and the money goes straight to you. If you need online payment at the time of booking, a ticketing platform with payments will suit you better.
What it costs
Free: 10 tickets a month, 1 active event, scanning on 1 phone. Essential (€19 a month excluding VAT): 150 tickets a month, 3 active events, 2 phones. Pro (€49 a month excluding VAT): 300 tickets a month, unlimited events, 5 phones, guest lists and tickets with no MPass mention. No commitment, and a 14-day trial of the paid plans with no credit card. More than 300 tickets a month? Write to us before you start.
Frequently asked questions
Why give members a free ticket if they do not pay?
Because the hall has a limit and you want to know how many seats are spoken for. A free Club member type with its own number of places keeps room for paying spectators. If counting is not a concern, let members in on their membership card and leave them out of the monthly ticket total.
The visiting team brings a coach of supporters. How do they get tickets?
Send the link to the other club’s secretary and ask them to share it. Each supporter books a ticket, since one booking gives one ticket. If the visitors prefer to send a list, you can add them yourself with a name and an email or mobile number each, before they set off.
Does MPass run the bar or the half-time raffle?
No. MPass issues entry tickets and membership cards, and scans them. Drinks tokens, the bar till and raffle tickets are outside what it does. The entry table and the bar keep their own cash boxes, and MPass takes no share of either.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. The ticket opens from a link and goes into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on the phone.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes. The trial button shows you an MPass pass on your own phone in a minute, with no sign-up. To create an event and share its link, you then open a free account: 10 tickets a month are included.
And the membership card?
Organisations that run this kind of event often have members too. The same app creates their membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and an event can be reserved for members. All cards by activity.
