Tickets for your show: amateur play, dance showcase, cabaret or revue
A show has several performances and one small box office: a cast member’s mother with a biscuit tin and a list for each night. With MPass you issue tickets for a show performance by performance, the audience holds a QR code on the phone, and the usher scans it at the door of the auditorium.

One ticket per performance, with the right price band
Each ticket names the production, the date and time of that performance, when the house opens, the venue and your poster. Price bands are up to you, for example Standard at €12, Concession at €8 and Child at €5, each limited to a number of seats. Cast and teachers pass the link to families; a spectator types a name and an email or mobile number, picks a band and keeps the ticket in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Tickets are paid to the company or the school, at the door or by transfer: MPass takes no money, no share, and does not verify payment.
| Example category | Displayed price | Places |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | €12 | 120 |
| Concession | €8 | 60 |
| Child | €5 | 40 |
Example categories, prices and numbers of places: you change everything. The price is shown on the ticket for information; MPass does not collect it.
Three moments of your event
Opening the bookings at rehearsal
On the night the set goes up, the director gives the cast the link. Every actor or dancer has a family who wants the same Saturday, and the seats left per performance show at once which night to recommend to late bookers.
The dress rehearsal
You add the guests of honour, the lighting volunteer’s partner and the local reporter by hand. The front-of-house team tries the scan on one another’s tickets, so that the first night starts with people who have done it before.
House open, half an hour before
The usher scans at the auditorium door and the box office table takes the money still owed. Seats are unreserved, so early arrivals choose. A ticket for Friday shows Friday’s date, so nobody slips in on the wrong night unnoticed.
How it works: 3 steps
Create the event
Name, date, time, doors and venue. Choose the “Show” type, your colours or an image, then your ticket categories with a displayed price and a number of places.
Share the link
By WhatsApp, email, social media or on your website. Each person enters their name, picks a category and gets a ticket with a QR code straight away, to add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Scan at the door
Your team scans tickets with their own phones, with no hardware to buy. A ticket that has already been scanned is refused.
Example: three performances of 45 seats
Imagine an amateur theatre group playing Friday, Saturday and a Sunday matinee in a studio with 45 seats. It creates three events, each with 25 Standard seats shown at €12, 12 Concession at €8 and 8 Child at €5: 135 tickets over the weekend. Spectators pay in cash at the table in the foyer, and the group’s treasurer banks the takings on Monday. One phone scans at the door, with a second ready as a spare. Three events and 135 tickets in the month fit Essential at €19 a month excluding VAT: 150 tickets a month, three active events, two scanning phones.
Who collects the ticket price?
You do. MPass does not collect the ticket price and does not check payment: the ticket shows the amount “to be paid to the organiser”. Your guests pay you as they always have, on the door, in cash, by bank transfer or on your card reader. In return there is no commission and no per-ticket fee, and the money goes straight to you. If you need online payment at the time of booking, a ticketing platform with payments will suit you better.

Frequently asked questions
Can spectators pick their seat, row and number?
No. MPass does not offer numbered seating, so seats are unreserved: first in, first choice. If you hold back the front row for grandparents with reduced mobility or for filming, mark it with ribbon in the room. The number of tickets per performance never exceeds the seats you set.
Dancers’ families want tickets for both performances. How?
They book once for each performance and each person, since one booking gives one ticket for one event. A parent with three guests on Saturday and three on Sunday fills in the short form six times, or you add the family by hand from the order slip the school sent home.
Do the performers need tickets?
No, unless you want to count them. Cast, dancers and crew usually come in through the stage door. Leaving them out keeps your monthly ticket total for the paying audience. If young dancers sit in the auditorium for part of the show, set those seats aside when you fix the number of places.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. The ticket opens from a link and goes into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on the phone.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes. The trial button shows you an MPass pass on your own phone in a minute, with no sign-up. To create an event and share its link, you then open a free account: 10 tickets a month are included.
And the membership card?
Organisations that run this kind of event often have members too. The same app creates their membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and an event can be reserved for members. All cards by activity.
