You enter the guest list in MPass and share one link, by email or private message. A guest types their name; if it is on the list, they receive an invitation with a QR code showing the evening’s name, the date, the door time, the venue and your colours, and add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. A name that is not on the list is refused. Categories, for example Guest and Guest +1, each have their own number of places. On Pro the invitations carry no MPass mention. Any contribution is paid to you: MPass handles no money and takes no commission.

Three moments of your event
Drawing up the list
The committee or the management agrees on the names and someone types them in. Spelling matters, because guests enter their own name on the link: if there is any doubt, tell them in your message how they are listed.
Sending the link
The link can be forwarded, and that does no harm: a stranger who opens it and types a name that is not on your list gets nothing. Late additions are simple, since you add the name to the list and the guest can collect the invitation straight afterwards.
At the door on the evening
The host or a doorman scans each invitation with a phone; up to five phones can scan on Pro. An invitation already scanned is refused. MPass does not check identity, so if it matters who holds the phone, the door asks for ID as well.

Name, date, time, doors and venue. Choose the “Private event with guest list” type, your colours or an image, then your ticket categories with a displayed price and a number of places.
Share the link
By WhatsApp, email, social media or on your website. Each person enters their name, picks a category and gets a ticket with a QR code straight away, to add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Scan at the door
Your team scans tickets with their own phones, with no hardware to buy. A ticket that has already been scanned is refused.
Example: a members’ evening with 110 invitations
Suppose a sports club thanks its sponsors and long-standing members with an evening in the clubhouse. It plans 110 invitations: 70 Guest and 40 Guest +1, the second admitting the guest and a partner. The secretary types the list on Sunday, sends the link by email on Monday and adds three forgotten names during the week. The evening is free, so there is no money to follow. Two phones scan at the door. The guest list is a Pro feature: €49 a month excluding VAT, with 300 tickets a month, which leaves room for other events. There is no commitment.
Who collects the ticket price?
You do. MPass does not collect the ticket price and does not check payment: the ticket shows the amount “to be paid to the organiser”. Your guests pay you as they always have, on the door, in cash, by bank transfer or on your card reader. In return there is no commission and no per-ticket fee, and the money goes straight to you. If you need online payment at the time of booking, a ticketing platform with payments will suit you better.

Frequently asked questions
How does a +1 work when the partner’s name is unknown?
Two ways. Either you ask guests for the partner’s name and add it to the list, so both hold a named invitation. Or you use a category such as Guest +1 and agree that one invitation admits two people; the door then scans one code for the couple. One booking always gives one invitation.
Can we use the guest list on the Free or Essential plan?
No. The guest list belongs to Pro, like tickets without the MPass mention. On Free or Essential you can still keep an evening small by sharing the link only with the people concerned, or reserve it for members, in which case the member number is asked at booking. Paid plans can be tried for 14 days without a bank card.
Can we issue the invitations ourselves instead of sharing a link?
Yes. You can add each participant yourself with a name and an email address or mobile number. That suits a short list of board members or sponsors. For a longer list the link saves time: you type names only, and each guest supplies their own contact details when collecting the invitation.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. The ticket opens from a link and goes into Apple Wallet (iPhone) or Google Wallet (Android), which are already on the phone.
Can I try it without an account?
Yes. The trial button shows you an MPass pass on your own phone in a minute, with no sign-up. To create an event and share its link, you then open a free account: 10 tickets a month are included.
And the membership card?
Organisations that run this kind of event often have members too. The same app creates their membership card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and an event can be reserved for members. All cards by activity.
